Special Town Meeting
Whitman Hanson Regional High School
Present: Christopher Colclough, Rebecca Coletta, Mark Gallivan, Jesse McSweeney and James Egan. Also present Executive Secretary Michael Finglas and Executive Assistant Meredith Marini.
7:12 p.m. Chairman Gallivan called the meeting to order.
Item I. One-Day Liquor Licenses
A. Christine Kelly of Whitman has requested a One-Day liquor license for Saturday, October 29, 2005 from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. for an Adult Halloween Party
MOTION by McSweeney, second by Colclough to approve a one-day liquor license for Christine Kelly on October 29, 2005 from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m. Voted 5 – 0
B. John Deehan of Kingston has requested a One-Day liquor license for Saturday, October 8, 2005 from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. for a Wedding.
MOTION by McSweeney, second by Colclough to approve a one-day liquor license for John Deehan on Saturday, October 8, 2005 from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Voted 5 – 0
Item II. Reviewed Articles - Chairman Gallivan informed Board that the Finance Committee did not support Article 6 – Bounding Town Forest and Article 7 – Memorials. The Board discussed the merits of the articles and agreed to leave the recommendation to approve. The Board also discussed Article 15 – Recreation Water Front expansion. The Finance Committee placed the article hold. The Board agreed to recommend and let Town Meeting make the final decision.
MOTION by Colclough, second by Egan to adjourn to Town Meeting. Voted 5 – 0.
